News

The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) received various program and project modifications to the 2023 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP), summarized as proposed Amendment #23-37, from the county transportation commissions representing the counties of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Various and Ventura. The public review period starts on Oct. 17 and will conclude at 5 p.m. on Oct. 28.

A copy of the project listing is located on the SCAG FTIP website

Note that some changes or project additions may be for projects funded with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Sections 5307, 5337, and 5339 funds. SCAG is providing this public involvement opportunity to meet project program requirements. SCAG is relying on the public participation process for the FTIP to satisfy FTA public participation requirements for the transit program of projects. The public notice of public involvement activities and the time established for public review of and comments on the FTIP will satisfy the Program of Projects of FTA Sections 5307, 5337, and 5339 programs.

Subject to revisions that address comments received during the public review period, the 2023 FTIP, as revised by proposed Amendment #23-37, will be the final program unless amended, and a final notice will not be published.

If you have any questions or comments concerning this amendment, contact Pablo Gutierrez at (213) 236‐1929 or gutierre@scag.ca.gov no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 28.
