Direct Air Capture Research, Demonstration, and Community Engagement grants advance the technical, economic, and environmental viability of innovative direct air capture technologies to meet the state’s carbon neutrality goals. Community Development Block Grant Program

Charging and Refueling Infrastructure for Transport in California Provided Along Targeted Highway Segments

The California Energy Commission’s Clean Transportation Program is providing up to $30 million in grant funds for projects that will design, construct, and operate publicly available medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle hydrogen refueling or charging infrastructure along designated corridors in disadvantaged communities or low-income communities, collectively known as priority populations.

Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant

The Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program supports the California Department of Transportation’s mission to provide a safe and reliable transportation network that serves all people and respects the environment. Eligible planning projects must have a transportation nexus and are expected to directly benefit the multi-modal transportation system. These grants will also improve public health, social equity, environmental justice, and environmental health, as well as provide other important community benefits.

All Stations Accessibility Program

The main purpose of the All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP) is to help finance capital projects to upgrade the accessibility of legacy rail fixed guideway public transportation systems (e.g., subway, commuter rail, light rail) for people with disabilities, including those who use wheelchairs, by increasing the number of existing stations or facilities, such as outdoor light-rail boarding and alighting areas, that are fully accessible.
